Early Life and Background

Jake ENHYPEN, whose full name is Sim Jaeyoon, was born in Seoul, South Korea, on November 15, 2002

Jake moved to Australia at the age of 10, he moved to and grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Before becoming the famous idol he is today, it would have been more fitting for Jake to be an athlete.

He spent several years before returning to South Korea to pursue a career in music. His multicultural upbringing has contributed to his fluency in both English and Korean.

JIt’s not uncommon for K-pop idols to have a long trainee journey before debuting, but Jake from ENHYPEN has a different story. In just one year, he transformed from a regular high school teenager in Australia to a champion in one of the biggest survival shows in K-pop history.

Jake participated in I-LAND, where he showcased his talents and secured a spot in ENHYPEN, debuting on November 30, 2020. Since then, he has been involved in various musical projects, contributing to the group’s success in the K-pop industry.
