Daredevil: Born Again Eps 1 & 2, Shocking Deaths, Brutal Fights, and a New Hero
Marvel fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Daredevil, and now, Daredevil: Born Again has finally arrived with a darker, grittier tone than ever before. The first two episodes, which premiered on March 4, 2025, on Disney+, waste no time in throwing fans into the deep end.
With Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock, the show opens with a gut-wrenching tragedy, an epic showdown, and the introduction of a major Marvel hero. Here are the biggest moments and hidden details from Episodes 1 and 2.
1.Episode 1: “Heaven’s Half Hour”
The season premiere, “Heaven’s Half Hour,” doesn’t hold back on emotional punches. The episode opens with Matt, Karen, and Foggy sharing a moment together, but that peace is short-lived.
Just minutes later, at Josie’s Bar, they are ambushed by Benjamin Poindexter (Bullseye). In a completely unexpected twist, Bullseye kills Foggy Nelson in cold blood for reasons that remain unclear.
This shocking event takes place within the first ten minutes of the episode, setting a new tone for the series. The aftermath is so devastating that it even leads to a new opening sequence, featuring a remixed version of John Paesano’s original Daredevil theme.
The story then jumps forward one year, revealing a broken Matt Murdock navigating a Hell’s Kitchen that’s more dangerous than ever.
2. Foggy’s Death
While fans are still reeling from Foggy Nelson’s death, some suspect that it might not be what it seems.
In the 2006 Daredevil comics, Foggy was “killed” but later revealed to be alive, placed in witness protection by the FBI. Could Daredevil: Born Again be following the same storyline?
With Marvel’s history of faking deaths, it’s hard to rule anything out.
3. Episode 2 Introduces White Tiger and Pays Tribute to Kamar de los Reyes
The second episode brings a fresh new hero into the Daredevil universe: Hector Ayala, aka White Tiger. Played by the late Kamar de los Reyes, White Tiger is Marvel’s first Latino superhero, and his debut in the series is a major moment.
In the episode, Hector is involved in a subway altercation and wrongfully accused of murdering police officers. Daredevil takes on his case, setting up an important storyline about justice and corruption in Hell’s Kitchen.
This episode also serves as a heartfelt tribute to Kamar de los Reyes, who passed away in December 2023.
4. Daredevil vs. Bullseye
If you thought Daredevil fights were intense before, think again. Episode 2 delivers one of the most brutal battles ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The high-stakes fight between Daredevil and Bullseye is filled with bone crunching choreography and heart-stopping moments.
Is ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Worth to Watch?
This isn’t just another fight, it’s personal. With Foggy’s death looming over Matt, his rage fuels every punch, making this battle a must-watch moment.
What’s Next for Daredevil: Born Again?
With Foggy gone, White Tiger introduced, and Bullseye back in action, Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s darkest and most intense series yet.
